No. Don't reveal it, I was just curious.

... or even better, you could post diagrams of what you intend to build, and get comments like "wow, great idea, never thought of that!" or "hmm, I tried something similar and it was an utter flop" that will help to perfect your design in such a manner that it will not be a waste of all your time and money when it's done ;)

Yeah. My whole gun was made from parts around the house. About 20 bucks worth of stuff.

50 RPS is hardly unique. Most cloud and votex guns will do that. A few guns will even hit 100 RPS.

So what? Most people would gladly trade high RPS for decent muzzle velocities. Personally, I would much rather have a 5 RPS gun that fired at 600 FPS than a 100 RPS gun that fires at 300 FPS.

It's uses relatively no guage pressure in the system to operate.

... a vacuum type setup? Perhaps even a compressor driven vacuum to suck the bbs down the barrel?

Amen brother!

Aside from having less BBs to pick up, I really like seeing a target riddled with distinct, deep holes as opposed to the normal BBMG effect of something that looks like it's been chewed by a steel goat.

The design of the gun I'm making has short high pressure buildup before every round. Try that 50 times a second. Any valve system would simply wear out to quickly but I found a way around that. Actually the truth was it was an unintended result of the design I'm using. The pressure actually resonates like how a pipe will make a certian frequency sound. As for using a vaccuum that isn't the main propulsion. It actually uses both pressure and vaccuum to propel the ammo. The net air flow is positive, but the pressure is close to zero while the flow rate is extremely high.

Oh yea the air source could reach 3000 psi. I think I can break a measely 300fps, if not a thousand. But to play airsoft it requires a 350fps limit @.20g ammuntion.

You make a lot of claims but without a prototype or at least some designs to back it up they're just words...

Just give us an idea of how it works. How could you expect for us to not be curious about a "secret gun".
I wish I had that bank roll to dump into spudguns..... Shocked

HaHa, i laugh at some of you guys. my parents will be willing to pay for my projects if it is "educational" :)

Ahh! Exposed. I didn't want to reveal that because it would seem that all I would get is negative feedback. Anyway it turns out that k'nex make the best parts for a lot of things. I've built entire airsoft guns with them. The pneumatic motor I've built works kinda like a little turbo. Inside are the little black connector pieces which make excellent flow catchers.

Well 3000psi isn't hard to get. Paintball nitrogen tank anyone?

Now now, lets not peak inside the box until Christmas day. That's the idea. Curiousity always brings out the best in people I think.

Sorry for the double post but I'm at a crossroad here. I'm thinking about revealing the design today and need a quick response. I want to post it for design review but I need to know if everyone wants to see it out of curiousity or if they truly think it's best to be analyzed. Or I can meet in the middle and reveal what gun it will be a replica of. Please post for input or vote at the poll or both.

1. Show the design.
- or -
2. Stop posting until the gun is done and you have some results.

Definitely show it, it's always best to have others to look over your work, and it is almost certain there is some bit of improvement that could be added that you didn't think of

I was only trying to invoke curiousity

Well as I said before this will probably be my last one until I graduate from college. I'm not sure if I want to use this on a resume. It may send the wrong message.
