Inline vortex block materials

Unread postAuthor: pocket » Fri Dec 19, 2008 7:44 pm

Ok so i made a replica lower reciever for an M4 out of wood for a project involving a muzzle loading marble gun but i quickly scrapped that plan and was thinkin of making an inline vortex block BBMG but here is my problem what do i use for the vortex block materials? my options are wood that is coated in epoxy for longer life or bondo. here is my design let me know if it needs to revisit the drawing board.

really? how? do you mean melting the PVC without burning it then forming it like cast? or are you thinking of some ghetto way that is posted in the how-to section that isn't worth a damn?

im talking about 3/4" pipe cut about an inch long.. two holes drilled into it.. one for the barrel and one for the air inlet.. Then you can use epoxy to keep the barrel from wobbling.

Bondo rules! Not only can you build vortex blocks out of it, you can also fix a dent in your car with it. :P

for high pressure and long life, inline vortex's should really be cast out of aluminum, but if that isn't an option get a piece of thickwalled brass or aluminum and drill the ports into it, then solder the input (chamber) and output (barrel) pipes to it.
