Unread postAuthor: nosnik » Sun May 02, 2010 1:42 am

hey guys! is it possible to convert toy guns to airsoft guns? toy guns like those that shoot orange suction darts (and no not nerf guns)

(for those who don't get what i mean about the toy gun types check out this link http://www.dollarstoretoybox.com/dart-cowboy-rifle/

thanks guys

Some of them smack the dart directly with a spring loaded hammer, others use compressed air like adult springer rifles, you'd have to take one apart to find out if the particular model can be adapted. Power is not going to be too impressive though...

You can sure try :) what sort of performance did you have in mind?

It's relatively easy to increase spring power, but then you're increasing stress on the trigger mechanism etc. so it's not so straightforward.

It depends on the materials you have to hand, I have in the past upgraded cheap airsoft pistols reinforced with a combination of epoxy and metal parts.

buy it, take it apart (making note of the order!) and post a picture of the parts here, you'll have plenty of advice I'm sure :)
