Paintball regulators?

Unread postAuthor: Pneumaticology » Mon Oct 17, 2011 1:41 am

These paintball regulators, they don't look like much.

How do you determine the regulated pressure and what size threading is on each end [in NPT]

Sorry if it seems like a silly question but they are a rarity in Australia.

Top is standard paintball ASA, side (fill nozzle and gauge) is 1/8" NPT, bottom is 5/8"-18UNF, unless otherwise specified output is usually set at 800 psi

The thread on the outlet connection is 1/2"-14 NPS

Regulated pressure can be adjusted...they typically use a spring at lower pressures and belleville washers at higher pressures...fine tuning the output is done with shims of varying thickness.

If you want to adjust them you'll need something like this with a suitable bleed valve threaded in where the hose would go to verify the calibration.

Not sure where you'd get bellevilles in Australia.
