My first 50 cal hammer valve

Unread postAuthor: waza8u » Wed May 16, 2012 8:28 am

My first 50 cal single shot hammer valve (still under construction)

just use a few plumbing fittings

needs a decent air tank but this thin alloy water container can handle 150 psi

needs some more sanding and paint it black or maybe camo

still making the trigger system but just trying to make the right design

i used 2 pieces of ply board, draw the design in 3 hours, cut it with a jig saw and sanding & shaping with a dremel

shame
i prefer hammer valve than qev+ slide valve
qev+ slide valve may easier to make
but definitely hammer valve is more powerful

No, hammer valves are more economical, there's far too much flow constriction in a hammer valve, and far less gas is released per shot.

Hammer valves win in consistancy, but certainly not in power.
