Yeah, I don't really know what I would laminate it with, maybe packing tape?

Well, I suppose that'd work. :) I have access to a laminating machine, which is what I'd use. But clear packing tape would actually work reasonably well, keeping moisture off your labels.

Hey welcome to Spudfiles.

This is a good start for you, most all of us build one very similar to this in the beginning. Nice finding the center of gravity there.

You didn't show your spark gap. You can get a noticable boost in power if you put 2 gaps in there instead of just one...about the only practical performance enhancement on one of these.

Move on soon to a basic pneumatic or advanced combustion. Hang this one on your wall-of-fame...:)

No, don't do packing tape. Run to Lowe's and get a can of Valspar Clear Plastic Primer. Spray it evenly on the whole chamber. That will protect your logo and the rest of your gun as well. Could have used a coat under your logo as well...:)

Edit: Opps sorry for the double post...

Hey,
I'm looking to build a pneumatic soon but I don't really have an idea of what I want it to do/look like/shoot. I'll think about it for maybe a week and then start gathering the parts. PVC is readily available to me, but I don't know if I could find a half-decent PSI meter. Does eBay have good cheap ones? Also I'm wondering what barrel size I should use...And pardon my inexperience, but why are bell reducers bad?

Pneumatics are nice, but I need to learn about all the bells and whistles of them first. Thank god I found this site.

Now, what trigger system should I use...

Did you mean "in" there? Or would it be a bad idea to put it in the combustion chamber?

Static guard isn't too gummy, but it is kind of wet  [/b]

Well take your time, do your homework and make a decision when you're ready...don't just jump into something else this soon...you've got plenty of time. You can learn a lot just loitering and searching around on Spudfiles. Run through the showcases sometime to get some ideas.

Bell reducers have shallow sockets and are proned to leaks...again tolerable with a combustion, not good on a pneumatic. Best to just avoid them in the future.

Go over to Latke's site here http://www.burntlatke.com for a complete run down and how-to on advanced combustions, propane metering, spark gaps, blah blah blah. Everything you need to know is there to get you started.

No, on...spray the primer on your chamber to protect it and logo...instead of the packing tape. Don't bother doing anything inside. It will eventually get gummy in there with other chemicals that don't burn...just part of the deal with a spray and pray cannon...:)
