el perkele by tiniboule (french)

Unread postAuthor: tiniboule » Thu May 22, 2008 1:03 pm

Hi everyone, let me introduce you to my stainless steel combustion spudgun made in France :)

Name of the spudgun:
El perkele
(means "the devil" in Swedish)

Dimensions:

1st Barrel: 44mm (1.7 inches) ID and 700mm (2'3") long
2nd Barrel: 30mm (1.2 inches) ID and 1400mm (4'7") long
Chamber: 84mm (3.3 inches) ID and 370mm (1'2") long
C:B ratio: 1.92
Weight: 5.1 kg (11.2 pounds)

General data about the spudgun:
* fan to improve air mixing
* LED light mounted on the chamber (just for the fun of it)
* BBQ lighter
* Entirely made of stainless steel and pickled in acid
* Body and handle brushed style effect, polished barrel
* Flame-like & name engraving at the end of the barrel

Performance:
* Gives a lot of sensations (especially the noise)
* Average range is 200 meters, shooting 44mm caliber potatoes
(it's kinda hard to find the 30mm ones :s)

WOW! One of the cleanest builds I've ever seen. Though I think the combustion does justice to the steel.

Very nicly done! Maby add metered propane injection if you decide to upgrade? What are you using for fuel?

Side note: I'll move this to the combustion showcase section for you.

That is by far one of the nicest steel cannons I have ever seen...you should be very proud. About how long did it take you to get the supplies and make?

tiniboule wrote:fuel= hairspray

What is that?!!? For a cannon that nice, you could at least spend $35 on a propane metering system... lol

Again, very nice work, besides the lack of propane meter, 10/10!

EDIT: Oh, and in the bottom pic, your ignition system looks different. Did you upgrade to a better ignition system? (stun gun, electric bbq igniter, camera flash, etc.)

That cannon is beautiful... :D

I agree with STHORNE... a cannon like that deserves a fuel metering system. :)

Wow! That looks very nice. I'll be waiting to see your next build.
Nice s.s. but be careful not to shoot citrus fruits because they corrode/stain stainless steel (and aluminum). 8)

That's so freaking awesome! It looks like some sort of a futuristic gun sort of thing...How did you engrave it? And also, that is an awesome flashlight.
