This is my first spud cannon ever

It is a basic combustion

SPECS:

Barrel : 23" of 1.5 " pipe with a beveled edge
C.C : 8" of 3" pipe with bell reducer
Ignition: BBQ ignitor from Kiblers

Not really a smart idea to put the ignitor in the side of the chamber... Put it through a double-thick spot such as through a fitting

it looks good. i wouldnt worry about the ignitor being where it is, it should be fine. the 30 or 40 psi it generates isnt enough to really cause a problem.

Well thats a decent looking cannon.
Ratio could be better though, a 36in barrel would be perfect.

Cant resist commenting on DWV, ahhhh.

Nope, it comes out at .811:1 and .8:1 is the best ratio for combustions.

Looks a lot better than my first combustion.
Hope to see your next one.
You already know about the ignitor.
(Maybe try drilling a small hole for just the leads or use two screws to build the spark gap. Next time).

Looks like fun to shoot.
Cool that the barrel is beveled for loading. :wink: 8)
