My combustion gun again...

Unread postAuthor: SpudBlaster15 » Fri Nov 03, 2006 10:40 pm

More stuff added...

The completed gun...

Image

Closeup of the chamber and all parts that are mounted to it...

Image

A comparison picture, featuring my 2' long "noisemaker" barrel compared to my 38" long performance barrel...

Image

Caulking tube filled with cement, used as ammo... These will snap a small tree in half at close range, at the cost of the tube's tip which contains no cement.

Image

Fuels... starting fluid and a cheap brand of deodorant whos 4 main ingrdients are Denatured alcohol, isobutane, butane, and propane. My insane friend stole 8 cans from the bargain store and gave me one so I had to try it, it works as good if not better than right guard.

Image

And yes, those are pieces of duct tape and potato chunks lining my shed floor.

Pretty nice. Give it a paint job. You can use krylon fusion, it lists ABS on the can!

Wrap it in duck tape!
Not only does it look good, but it'll improve strength too!

Duct tape has a pressure rating of about 9psi. Not going to help strength much. :P

Duct tape has no rating - whatsoever - and no pressure holding capacity.

It's useless for enhancing the strength of cannons.

Novacastrian: How about use whatever the heck you can get your hands on?
frankrede: Well then I guess it won't matter when you decide to drink bleach because your out of kool-aid.
...I'm sorry, but that made my year.

Great cannon, I like the handle. I personally like the black, but some red flames coming from the end of the barrel would look great.

Well, it must have some pressure holding capacity, as does everything in its solid state. :P

Not nearly enough to add any strength to a combustion gun whos inner walls will be subjected to pressures in excess of 40psi, however.

Yeah but if a cannon blows up the schrapnel rips the duct tape open.
