Atmospheric air in itself can acts as a projectile.

As far as ignition points go, *theoretically*, if you can burn the fuel faster, which is the purpose of using multiple gaps, performance will increase. The spudgunning community lacks the nessesary data to show whether or not it does anything, most people base their opinions on their own experience, I for one strongly believe that additional spark gaps do have a definate effect on performance.

This is a really nice combustion gun. I do agree with SB15 about the exhaust fan. Wiring it to allow it to be controlled externally would make it a lot easier to use, not to mention convenient.

Nice gun. I like the fact u used multiple colors for the separate parts of the gun. Like others said. Looks much better with the new paint.

SpudBlaster15 wrote:I suppose that would be the case, since you are using metered fuel. With spray propellants you have to have it off when fueling or the fan will blow it all out before you can get the cap on.
On the cannons DR gave me he has his fans positioned so they blow out the barrel, which helps alot, I almost never get a misfire with starter fluid.

All fans are positioned to allow them to blow out the barrel. Otherwise, they do not work as effectively. I have not had good luck when spraying aerosol propellants into a chamber with a running fan inside.
