Ok Stop you bitching. For a remote ignition you can use a stungun and wire a remote relay to it. One that i found online is 15 dollars for the relay and you can use your tv remote to set it off. So about 40 bucks for the whole set up.

Just be careful anyways. We don't need bad publicity and laws against spudguns. You blow yourself up and all of us pay for it.

Im new to this also, and im in the process of making my spudgun now.

Im going to use mapp gas also, and hopefully a PICmicrocontroller, and two sprinkler solenoids.

My plan is to program the microcontroller to open solenoid 1, then close. Start the ignitor, then open solenoid 2. I will control the amount of gas by the length of time solenoid 1 is open.

My first prototype will probably be manually controlled. Im still learning to program in BASIC.
