Thats why hairspray sucks lol try holding the can upside down so none of the liquid comes out just the gas thats the flamable stuff.

Dont even bother trying to use pure propane without some type of metering system. Propane has such a narrow flammability limit that it is next to impossible to add it through a cleanout plug using a torch head or similar and get it to ignite. Some fuels that work well for me are:

Original brown can Right Guard (very powerful, clean, and reliable, ignites first try every time)
Axe (similar to Right gaurd, very reliable, maybe a little less power, alot more expensive)
Old spice deodorant (similar to right guard, very reliable, somewhat less powerful, expensive)
diethyl ether (most powerful fuel I have used, only works if you use extremely small amounts)

Out of these I suggest Right Guard (if you can find an old can) and dietthyl ether. The others are much too expensive and perform slightly less well.
