Have a few questions

Unread postAuthor: Sonicboom101 » Wed May 09, 2007 6:04 pm

Ok I have built a basic combustion spud gun then I built a basic penumatic gun now I want to build something that is much more advanced than my first combustion gun I have done TONS of research it will have propane injection, chamber fan, stun gun with sparkstrip, breechloading. But im stuck I want to use Banjo cam locks for the breechloading i wanted my barrel to be 1 1/2" diameter i have looked at the advanced spuds breech loading thing but I understand it but its a 2'' coupler for a 1 1/2'' pipe i have heard stuff about putting adapters and bushings on it but I need help could someone tell me starting from the top of the combustion chamber what do I put??? Next question is how long and how wide should my combustion chamber be?? I wanted to be able to interchange barrels would that effect it because of the different barrel sizes??? :? :? thanks for the help!

Ummmmm, seems like you got the right ideas, but I'd say just slow down and build some other fun things like pistol potato guns and BB guns. Anyways, just have fun and mess around with other stuff for a while first.
Good luck Spud

the end of the chamber, you mean the threaded screw cap for venting
and the chamber and barrel can be a numerous combination of sizes and shapes, that would suck if spud gun designs weren't flexible, all that really matter if you have decent flow from the chamber to the barrel, there is an optimum C:B ratio, and its on spud wiki now go research cause we don’t answer any question that can be answer with a little research,

Well, about your interchangeable barrels. If you get a good C:B ratio for your biggest barrel then it will just result in higher pressures on your other barrels, which for spudgunners, higher pressure is BETTER! lol. Dunno 'bout you other questions so good luck! Spud
