Seriously, though, thanks for the gratitude! (Something some members seem to lack) Oh yeah, You should check out the Spudfiles wiki. It'll definitely help in development. Heck, make an edit with what you learn from your build!

Umm, must have been about April last year.

Since then i've put together quite a few pistons, not all have been used. The biggest would be a 3" one, which hasn't been used yet, and the smallest would be a 1/2" one made from two 9mm bullet casings.

April last year? I thought it would be like...5 years ago. Hehe, and that's pretty scary, LynyrdSkynyrd. I don't think the fittings are pressure rated in Home Depot. =|

I've only been spudding for 3, of which only two has been spent here.

Technically I made a piston in October of 2006, but it wasn't anything i'm proud of, so I disowned it Very Happy

Lowes has some pressure rated fittings up to 2" i belive.

sometimes you can get lucky and fin sced. 80 fittings for sprinkler systems. Though stores aren't really consistent with that stock.

lol from an engineering standpoint you always can improve on something in someway.

That last piston of mine was the predecessor of my new cannon's pistons. The old valves worked, but thats about it. They weren't anything special.
