what is this favorite break barrel method?

this is what I mean:

The pivot point will be at the end of the reservoir however.
Breakbarrel means NO dead volume ( unlike most other systems) and it has a certain coolness factor.
I have a breakbarrel on my Overkill cannon ( and a 1.30 m "fixed"one)

Limitations are ROF and no way of having a detachable reservoir, but I couldn't give a sh*te...

It will have a 1.25 " reservoir , fixed, and it only uses a small amount of air per shot, so I don;t need a reg.
Pressure drop will provide less and less power, but will also allow the hammervalve to stay open longer, wich counters the effect of the pressure drop, by releasing more volume of air through the QEV.

All I need to make this a succes ( to me) is two uberpowerfull shots out of one fill.I don;t care about the weaker ones. This system will still prevent me from having to fill it up from zero.
It saves air.

I am also (as of a day or two ago) working on modding my QEV with a hammer valve, and I am trying to figure out what bore I want. It is the tricky question of power over air conservation.
What bore are you going for? Given that you are going to be more constrained to stay on the "slim and sexy" side of things, I'm guessing on the 1/2" side of things?
I was thinking because I have an entire SCBA tank to run off of, I would go for a 1" barrel, and see what power I can get...

One thing you may want to look into is those weird rotating joint fittings, as you could possibly then use your stock as a reservoir too then, though it might mess up the clean looks of that beautiful grip.

I'm going for 1/2" indeed.Or 3/4"...Possibly both..
It has enough power for a decent 1"shot though.Especially with the heavy hammer wich now only leaves a small amount of pressure.

Like ONE giant boom, then a second, not so impressive one, and then an emptying puff....

No stock for this gun...
I've decided to go for "the ultimate sawed-off"

Same power, same size..just multiple shots and a proper break barrel.

I'm even debating on getting a 12 gram adapter to run single shots of of them ( smaller reservoir size) and popping them in the barrel for ammo.

The QEV allows for it to be filled from a 12 gram -chamber side.

I would go for 3/4. Did you know shotgun shells fit nicely in 3/4 SCH 40?

Wow, I absolutely love that idea!
Shoot
Refill with CO2 cartridge
load cartridge into barrel
shoot again

you could get more than one shot off a CO2 cartridge though couldn't you?
How many moles of CO2 are in your standard cartridge?

well, if its a 12 gram cartridge, then:

12/44 grams per mole of CO2 = .2727 repeating.

lol I am such an idiot... I know how to do that, just as the school year comes to an end, all knowledge flies out of my head, right in time for finals! I practically forgot how to speak spanish yesterday, and I am in 7-8, and spent a month in Bolivia over the summer, hanging out with some musicians. It is actually scary how little my brain is working all of a sudden.

Just noticed your handle pics on pg.4. That looks great.
Hope to see some finished pics.

I was thinking you could add a telescoping stock made from one rod going through pins with holes on each side and bent in a loop at the back to form the shoulder stock.
It could have a set screw or spring loaded pin to hold it in place.

Either way looks like an awesome grip and design BTB. Cool
