It depends at what pressure your disks will burst and what ammunition you're using. I would definitely go for a longer barrel if you can afford it, you're get increased range and a quieter shot. |

Looks nice!
I think this one will be quite powerful for its size after you have found out how many layers of foil you have to use. |

Naaa...
i decided to stop this project because i dont like burst disk, seem if this one looks nice...
Well, i wasted my time and my money( 10 minutes and 25 $) but this gived me my lesson.
I am going to make a very simple sprinkler valve canon
( 2" chamber x 1 foot - sprinkler valve - 1.5" barrel x 2 foot)
The valve will be not modded (activated by the little black lever)
the chamber and barrel will be superposed.
And it will be my last spudgun!
I alway changed my mind about what spudgun i will make.
exemple:I am going to do a coaxial!, i buy the piece but i dont have enough money to buy a last few parts, so i say"i will wait until i have more money!" but until this time, i change my mind and i dont buy the piece i need to finish my coax, but to make an other one!
And cause of that, i wasted ALOT(for me 300 $ is alot) and did not managed to get a single spudgun firing!
The very simple spudgun i am going to build will get me back the the simple joy of spudgunning in the Saint-Laurent( a river near Montreal)... |

And thats why, you should spend more time designing guns and then when you are REALLY REALLY sure that you will build one, buy all the parts (at once) and construct according to plan.
Think twice, buy once. |

I bet you have said that more often in the past
And then when you are building that sprinkler cannon, you will think: im going to build a piston valve!
Why not buy that cannon-kit from BCarms, thus where you buy ALL parts at once. |
