Shoudn't this be in the NSGR section then, since it has nothing to do with spudguns? I thought this section was intended to be a showcase for homemade airsoft/BB guns...

Anyway, DYI's has my vote for the best airsoft launcher in this thread. Well, make that anywhere (But maybe not for long! Shocked ).

Well, here is mine.

Made by Ontario Kinetics, mostly brass and polycarbonate (also some aluminum, steel and SS where necessary).
Shoots ~4200 fps with a .12 (with a little bit more recoil) and has no hop-up yet (nor will it ever, as it's entirely immobile when connected to the capacitor and takes almost two hours to reload).

(I guess it's the most powerful airsoft gun posted here yet Rolling Eyes )

Sorry Demon, couldn't resist.
You beat me to it.

The whole entire section is for BBMG/Strafer showcase, asking for a single thread is not being greedy.

A large part of BBMG/Strafers are Airsoft BBMGs. Airsoft guns use very similar concepts as a lot of our homemade BBMGs. To say airsoft guns have nothing to do with spudguns is silly.. they both use exactly the same concepts of launching a projectile with a gas of some kind.

Thats like saying that spudfiles only allows launchers that shoot potatoes and potatoes only., its simply not the case.

The closest match to this thread is this section and a lot of the guns in this section are meant for airsoft use(not all.. but quite a few).

So this topics does belong in this section. Especially considering some of the modifications to these guns are custom. This topic is posted here because the people who want to see this thread and post in this thread are most likely going to be in this section of the site.

Yes DYI's gun is crazy awesome, but out of respect of the initial post, can we just keep it to store purchased guns? Its not asking much.. just this thread, this one topic.. please respect that.

So you're saying we should have a "Post pictures of your firearms here" thread in the combustion showcase, since both use the pressure generated by a burning propellant to propel a projectile?

My point has nothing to do with the concept of launching airsoft rounds with compressed gas. I was referring to the homemade factor that this entire forum is based on. The forums are designed to offer a place for the discussion and showcase of cannons we build. IMO, ordinary store bought guns should be discussed in the NSGR section, since by no definition are they spudgun related.

I disagree.. and besides, go to cannons and the picture link says BB Airsoft... so I figured I would make the post in here..

it has 7 pages of posts with people posting their pictures, they are fine with it and the mods have been fine with it.. so regardless of where it belongs, can you just respect that?

I dont see why there is any need to impose different things on this thread now.. especially have several pages and no mod complaints. Can you just leave this alone and give us our one single topic to post on this... I dont think its too much to ask.

EDIT: Can we please get a mod to clean all of this up so we can keep our thread the way it has been for 7/8 pages.

I'm not trying to get this thread moved, deleted, or whatever; my only intent is to express my views on the matter. Since it doesn't really matter at this point, I'm done debating. Feel free to resume your regularly scheduled programming.

I didn't see you're Thompson earlier... It's really nice.

I like the paint on the other gun too. It looks good.

Thanks, the glock is painted with some dupicolor silver automotive spraypaint, and the thompson is almost stock, and has been for 2 years.

M21 (m14 mod) with snakeskin like paintjob.

I just have to find my lower scope mounts as those are too high...

Scope is a 3-12x50mm Illuminated Range Finder with a 30mm scope rings.

That looks great!!!
How did you do that paintjob? I'm guessing you painted it camo and then wrapped a net around it and painted it again with that green...

If so will you tell the stuff used or is it a secret...

Edit... AhHa!!! I used this super new, high tech thing called GOOGLE.
This is what I found... http://paintballlibrary.com/main2/page_10753.html
