So I have this modded up nerf Nitefinder laying around... I improved the air seal, added a spring, and modded the air restrictors for a direct airflow. Well, we all know that nerf guns have pretty big pistons (relative to airsoft guns). I was wondering what you guys thought about building an airsoft gun around the nite finder. It has a large piston for being a pistol, and I'm hoping to make a sniper-esque rifle out of it. With a too-short barrel and no hop-up, it can shoot a 0.2g BB 70 feet across my yard. Anybody think this has potential?
Also, anybody have any ideas for an easier method of loading besides muzzle loading? I have a 1/2" CPVC coupler in it already so I was thinking about putting the airsoft barrel and hop-up inside a length of 1/2"cpvc and making it a removable barrel breach loader. But then when I have my hop-up in it, I would have to worry about putting the barrel back in place right side up for the hop up to work properly. So i'm open to any ideas (of course, that are realatively simple to do)
I plan on adding stock to the back and adding a good length airsoft barrel and hop-up. Then a new paint-job and possibly some optics if it is scope worthy. |

I live in the U.S. and have 4 airsoft guns and play with a group of friends regularly, but I like building stuff, and I have nothing better to do with the nerf gun. It's mainly because I like building. |

Could you explain how you plan on adding the stock? The reason I ask is because the Nite Finder is cocked by pulling on the rear, correct?
As far as possible, yeah. Get a good sized barrel, which shouldn't be too hard for you, and go for it. It is a spring piston, and I heard that a good ratio is 4:1, piston chamber to barrel. Start there and build.
As far as breech loading, I would go with a simple slide coupler system. |

| Hubb, I am going to probably make a skeleton style stock out of PVC so I can still grab the cocking handle. |

cool can you post pics?
it sounds well done and you know what you are doing
o and ajdevi92 in my country they doesn't like airsift either and for one hour paintball you can buy enough stuff to buy a very good spud gun
and what about shaping wood in the perfect form
I made some wooden stocks they are pretty good but I don't have good supplys for it so it is a lot of work. |

I'll definately keep you guys updated and ass some pics, but until I get a barrel and a good way to breech load it, all I can do is the stock. And that's the most boring part. |

Because I have an Echo 1 M4 that shoots at 350 fps with .2g bbs and the nitefinder I had that shot bbs had more power. Thats how I came up with that number. |
