Has anyone had any luck with this type of material for a gun, more specifically a hybrid.

For a 3" chamber I can safely go up to 2000 PSI with a 2X margin using 0.13333 thick aluminum tube and no its not pressure rated the wall thickness at bursting point is 0.06667". So I'm planning on using 0.125" tube. It can't be welded but my uncle can easily machine some parts up at his work for not to much and then it can all be hooked together like that, can't be welded so screws or something will be used.

The sad thing is, the aluminum is only slightly more expensive than PVC i9n my area and that's SCH 40.

If you use aluminum wire in a mig welder, or if you use a tig welder it can be welded, but you have to be a good welder.

The reason you can't weld some aluminum is beacause certain alloys have been heat treated, the weld would never be as strong as the rest unless it was re-heat treated.
Just some food for thought.
it sounds like a good idea if you can have everything machined and thread it all together.

Well Ive struck some luck, my grandfather has a friend who can mill me some stuff. I was wondering, how do you guys think I should connect my parts, I'm going to make it all threaded (much thicker than normal), but how should the pieces go together without welding?

I'm thinking of a 2000PSI gun powered by a scuba tank, by the way I don't plan on being beside this gun lol.
