You could always PM me...
I have bought a threadcutting device, wich makes it even easier to build them.
I can make all sizes of threaded pipe-nipples from 1/4" up to 1-1/4"
and I can put threads on aluminium marble barrels to screw them directly into a 1/2" QEV or other valve.
I'll have to check but I think I can put 1" threads on 30mm alu pipe, wich would make a pretty cool chamber.
It will probably take a couple of weeks before I have everything sorted out.
I suggest you order the Snapvalve along with the marble barrel to make it worth the shipping costs.
If you would like, I could tap the Snapvalve exhaust to 1/8"BSP to accept fittings directly ( when used as main valve)
I will start production of 25 bar ( working pressure) 1" output T-valves later. They will have better flow than a 1" QEV
Just let me know! |

hmm the problem ordering the marble barrel is length, because me being the power crazy person i am i need a long barrel (~150cm) which i doubt will be shippable (cheaply)
and do you or are you going to stock 1" qevs if so then how much wil they be because we pay £80 for 1" qevs in the uk |

I'm afraid they are more expensive here!!
I hope to " create" bulk orders to force the price down.
In the coming weeks I will put a lot of energy into finding the cheapest supplier.
I would love to "export" to the UK!!
See what I can find on shipping rates. |

BtB I like your idea really... but unless you can find some way to ship products really cheap you would be limited mostly to customers from netherlands...
one question about your threadcutting device... Is it manually operated or is it a power tool ?
What do you use/are planning to use for cutting steel pipes? |

It' manually.I tried an electrically powered one a couple of times, but they are actually harder to control. It sometimes forks the pipes up pretty bad.
Those things have too much power.
I agree off the shelf items such as QEV's can be better bought locally.
You talk about shipping cheaply, but are you aware of the profits regular retailers charge??400% increase in price is no exception!
Trust me, I know.
I work at a wholesaler.
I see it every day.. |

I have two manual operated... Good to hear that they are better than powered ones.....
I like the idea of high pressure homebuilt 1" piston valves - there are obviously people who would like to buy them.... generally I feel that there isn't much high pressure equipment available (for reasonable price) so you could get lots of orders from the USA if you would try to fill that gap with your products...
one silly idea more ---> you could order lots of fridge pumps (you know the part that I used to build my compressor) from china for 8 $ each and sell them to US.... since they already have to pay at least 150 $ for them as spare parts it could be quite profitable

I don't know, cake would persuade me, but I'm not a coffee (or tea) person. I drink OJ. |
