I have no problems with clouds when they are homemade but as far as products that I plan on selling I would like to have a plunger system so you wouldnt have to shake your gun to agitate the BBs.
The magazine would be a metal magazine that you guy buy off any airsoft store... I would alter the ends and fill the inside with a lining of epoxy to make sure it can handle the pressure... so its not like a cloud wouldnt work... its just because of feeding/agitating problems I would much rather create something new such as this vortex mech box... Besides everyone knows im always tryin to be innovative. |

| Well, ok. I doubt this would have much feeding issues, if any, but it would definitely rattle like a maraca which is unwanted. I kinda thought of that afterwards. I think that this project is pretty darn cool though. |

yeah If i can find some CNC guy to produce these for cheap either out of lexan, plexi, acrylic, or aluminum I will start up a website and sell them along with other projects... I was thinking about this for a web store..
Vortex Mech Box Products:
M16
AK47
SCAR
M4A1/ SR series
I would also sell these separate products:
Vortex Mechbox
Burst Disk Grenade launcher
Pneumatic Airsoft Grenades
Remote Activated Pneumatic Mine
Spring Trip Mines
and Custom requests.
Idk I figured a general store for that would really help a lot of people out. |

I was looking at your drawing on the original post, and it looks like the air pressure will push down on the magazine spring with more force than the spring will have.
If that happens it may still feed but will be like a larger chamber.
The altered drawing that ammosmoke gave on page 1 has been done before but the entire vortex was located inside the magazine and the bb's went into a tube and 90'd at the top of the magazine.
With your general store idea, there is a classified section in this forum maybe you could start there. |

By when you said you looked at my original post were you referring to this image?:
Even if you were not talking about that image, springs are built to different... some are stronger than others.. Regardless the plunger system has been proven to work time and time again... I am just simply making it a rectangle. If you are worried about too much pressure inside the magazine that wouldnt be a concern... there is an exhaust port (barrel) and the metal magazine would definantly be able to hold the pressure especially with reinforced epoxy. If anything the plung depending on how tight i make the fit will cause more air (and thus bb's) to be pumped out the exhaust.. So I am not worried about the magainze's plunger having issues...
Also My store would be on a separate website because I would want more than the spudfiles viewers to see the site... I would have it open to the public, so airsoft enthusiasts would be able to buy. Plus it would be 1 more site to my portfolio. (I'm a Web Designer.) |

maybe my title should be BBMG Innovator rather than expert... lol
yeah, my brain is full of ideas like this... maybe I should make a post with all my ideas..
example: cornershot BBMG is one idea. |

@Davidvaini, actually, I was refering to the original pic.
That other design looks workable.
I am sure you are clever enough to make either workable though.
Looks like an interesting concept to maybe incorporate the vortex into each magazine maybe since they are simple enough.
That way the "rifle" itself would be pretty simple as well. |

| Davidvaini its strange how similar our concepts are, i have been working on a true clip based bbmg for a couple of months now (well not so much working as thinking, school takes up too much time) i have built three or four initial prototypes so far and i have noticed a pattern. with each prototype the gun gets less and less "real". i started off with a rectangle mag now im back to a circle mag with a couple tubes sticking out the top. it might be just that i dont have the necessary tooling to make such a gun but it seems like without some hella nice tools and a crap load of money this design is an impossibility. but the gun will still be released... the circle mags will essentially be hidden in a mock up box mag |

Actually all you have to do is get a square enclosure and a pvc cap. Just cut out a pie shape in the end of the pvc cap and epoxy it onto the square enclosure. Then after you are done with the magazine just get some rubber u channel and line the inside of the box so you get a nice air tight fit.
So as far as tools are concerned. You would need a drill, a dremel and file.
but if you really wanted to make this nice you would have to have access to someone with CNC expierence/access. My friend immortal the one who helped with the RC-p240 has access to such things. However my first prototype would be made by hand. |

| my attempt with a standard metal airsoft mag ended very badly, one of the bbs got jammed in the barrel and caused pressure to build up in the mag to the point where it deformed and cracked the mag well. that would be why i went back to standard pipe mags, they can handle the pressure. and i was using TSD .25g at the time (sadly even high grade bbs do not do much when there are pvc shavings in the barrel) this is why i believe you need some nice tools i think your gonna have to end up making all of this from scratch. well good luck anyway i will be anticipating the release of this gun |

| That magazine design is gonna be hell to load, unless you have a "lock" on the platform thingy that is supported by the springs. This "Lock" would hold the platform at the bottom of the mag until you insert it into the gun and unlock it. |
