what if one was to use a bolt action mechanism to hold a burst disk as a valve as well, one could load the ammo, put a burst disk and reset the bolt.

Thoughts?

I can't remember where or what it was called, but I do recall something similar. The guy had a "triggered burst disk" which was actually a broadhead arrow head that he used to puncture the burst disk and he loaded the disk very similar to this. His reload time was awesome for a burst disk pneumatic.

I'll try to find the link.

Edit: It seems that Gort did it here.

ok it seems im not the only one who came up with this kind of idea, its damn hard to get originality around here Very Happy

I was more thinking of a standard bolt action mechanism, but a burst disk is placed at the back of the bolt sandwiched between a rubber washer on the end of the bolt and one at the chamber. Havn't got time for a diagram just yet.
