Ok, so despite being closed endbell type, I took apart one of the motors. Ugh. The brushes were bent so far out of alignment that they would not make contact with the commutator. I bent the brush springs back as to allow the brushes to seat against the comm, and it works like new. I curse the chineese manufacturer for using shitty brush spring material.
Bleh, now the brushes snapped off. What a pile of crap. I took the blades off and put them on a spare 300 size motor for one of my RCs. Works much better, and much higher quality.
Yes. It sucks air in from the back of the chamber when the cap is off and blows the old combustion gases out the barrel when on. Then the cap is closed and the fuel is injected, it mixes the fuel mixture much better than it would be mixed without one, giving you an improved chance of ignition.
