I read somewher that if you want to build a propane cannone you should use .8:1 C:B Ratio. I was just wondering if this is true? If not then I'll just stick with 1.5:1

yes this is true. Some people might say that .6:1 is better but thats for efficiency. The better the ratio (.8:1, 1:1) the louder it becomes and the more energy is wasted. 1.5:1 is best for aerosol fuels.

He is right, .8:1 is optimal when using metered propane. However, 1.5:1 is far from optimal when using aerosol fuels, unless the fuel has an extremely low energy desnsity. 1:1 is closer to optimal when using your average aerosol such as right guard, axe, or other deodorants, all of which have similar energy densities.
