simple, I like it, but maybe you should have used a bigger chamber

Sweet, Another nice copper gun. Real simple, but i'm guessing effective.
Elegance in simplicity.

| I think that someday I should make one of these but instead of making the chamber below the barrel it would just go down some then keep going backwards, sort of like a paintball gun, that way you could have something to balance the weight of the gun with.

| if you go with a sprinkler for exhaust the gun is pretty balanced, since you'd probably use metal fittings in the back for the fill valve. you should try a copper piston syko, since the heavier copper pipe can hold past 500psi you can up the pressure quite a bit if you want to

| your piston can be very simple, in one of mine the pistol is a piece of wood with rubber epoxied on it, just do what works for you. make sure to have a bumper material and/or a spring to absorb the shock of the piston when it opens

| I just made one of these and after all the horror stories of finding neoprene i looked around my house for an allternative and found a keychain from drivers ed and cut a circle out of it, works really good.

| Nice cannon, but I agree with most a larger chamber would greatly improve the velocity of the projectile.

Could someone please explain or give me a link that explains simply how a pnuematic gun works, and what the "sprinkler valves" and other key parts actually do?
I have made 3 combustions and want to try something with a little more...kick.

Jedwards, try the Spud Wiki.
Go to the top of the page, and you'll see an array of buttons.
Click the second down from the top on the right hand side - marked Spud Wiki.
Click on Pneumatic cannons, and read around, then come back.
If you are just too lazy to find the link at the top of the page:
OMG, There's one here!
