Just wondering how much a pneumatic spud gun would cost to make . I have no idea cuz i m so used to combustion guns but would like to start with pneumatics.

should be around $20-$30 but it depends if you get a cheap pvc ball valve for $4 or a sprinkler valve for $15 and how big you want it.
mine cost me about $20 with everything. check the pics in my www thing in my post. its the new smaller one, not the big one, i didnt use pressure rated fittings on that so i rebuilt it. the big one cost about $30 and i have 10ft of 3in pipe and 9ft of 1 1/2in left. |

Thtas fine, my latest dual fire extinguisher paintball rifle cost around $150-$200NZD.

| No, depends on the parts. I could build a massive pneumatic out of dwv fittings bigger than the swat for 50 bucks if that. Its all in the parts. |

Well, let's just take a bunch of averages.
Cheapest type of gun in my mind is a small one made of galvanized steel fittings. So, let's go from there.
Valves:
Sprinkler valve, (w/ mod): $20.00
3/4" quick-exhaust valve: $20.00
Homemade piston valve: anywhere from 5 to 30 dollars.
Steel fittings and pipe nipples: $20.00
So, anywhere from 25 to 40 dollars, depending. |

| I spent almost $100 on my gun, but I added a scope. That and the rings\doverail cost about $40. Too many variables to come up with an average. |

but that would be stupid, and you could, no, should not take it up above 40 psi.
but you wont. 
if you do, I will buy 4 more 6" elbows, pressure rated, and another 10 foot section of 6" pipe, then extend the barrel to 40 feet.
no, seriously. I will.
EDIT: would you even have a place to store/shoot it? |

Depends how complicated you want to go.
My first pneumatic was just domestic copper pipe, a couple of brass compression fittings for it, a bike tyre valve and a washer.
Call it about £15.
My latest one which I didn't have to foot the bill for (thankfully) is a flashy shoulder fired copper QEV one which cost the person who did pay for it aroundabout £130.
Almost double the numbers for $ and then remember that prices vary a lot from continent to continent. |

| After all rebuilds/repairs and trips to the hardware store, a good guess on mine is about $150.00. Thats counting the gas it cost to do all the running around. Check it out. |

No its the way the rules work, if pipe can only be ordered in 3m lengths but your design needed say 1m you put down the cost + 10% for 1m and he'll pay for the 3m length and send the 1m length.
The same for all the other items that would normally be bought in large quantities like the 8mm copper tube. I said 50cm and it comes in a roll of about 10m.
To be honest he probably didn't buy those since he owns a plumbing company and hes got that kind of thing in stock but if someone else followed the plan it'd be about £130 to them.
Actually if they ordered all the parts through him they'd probably pay about £100 because he can give a reduction and do specific lengths. |
