Thats weird, Im pretty much exactly the same, I havn't made alot of furniture yet because my school and college don't do furniture courses so its all joinery stuff which isn't as good but its useful learning it, but I love using lathes to, I have 3 available to me...greedy I no lol. Ive sold most of my work as well, and have some things ive made in a couple of galleries and Ive been asked to do some turning work for a furniture maker in the area. Im planning on making furniture for a living and them doing turning as a side line and i'd also like to make guitars because i really enjoyed making this one.

yea well over here in WA there is not a cry out for furniture makers so i gave that up along time ago lol

i can get pics of one dining table and my hall table and some other stuff

Its a bit like that here, theres about 15 in my area but they're all small firms with only one or two people so theres no chance of an apprenticeship with them, but i've been to see them all and get my name around and im getting a bit of turning work off of some of them so theres hope yet.

Cool, i'd really like to see them.

Ill post some pics of some of my turning if your interested in seeing it.

An oak bowl I made out of part of a beam from one of my sheds

Cocobola bowl, this is one of my favorites because of the grain patterns in it.

Yew bowl, another of my favorites.

Goncola Alves clock, its a very nice wood to work with and cheap as well.

Sycamore platter, has some really nice rippled patterns in t that you cant really see from the pic

Thanks man. I was pretty lucky, I was given a small lathe and my grandad does some turning so he has two lathes at his house so I go there and work as well

I'm sure it doesn't...that's some great detail there and an awesome job overall.

Have you tried one of these yet. They are just about to replace bass amps on the stage and studio...and they are awesome.

Too "alien" like for me, I prefer the more baroque style, eye of the beholder I guess Wink

The one you posted a pic of is the nicest looking imo, but I couldn't really post that because you already did lol.

I was thinking, I might make a breach loaded, over under piston gun (ooooh my first ever piston... scary) with an airsoft barrel, and then carve myself up a nice curvy stock, in a similar style to the ones in your link, then run the pilot down to where the trigger would be. Or after the success of my last valveless gun, I might have a go at an making it valveless again instead of building a piston. Can you link me to your valveless design where the projectile is pushed forward by a bolt allowing air to get behind it. I would like to have another look at it and maybe give it a go if thats cool with you, as its your design.
