Well I'm glad it does this to people.
It was just one of those typical posts
I could get my hands on a barrel, wich will cost me about 25 euro...
wich is a bit too much..
1 euro = 1.60$ so...
Just a matter of time...

Okay...another update.
LONG READ BUT WORTH IT!!
Most important, I fit it with a 12 gram quick change adapter, wich I don't regret!
4 seconds of high intensity fire, due to the fact the pressure washer handle is spewing out liquid CO2...without any problem!
I cleaned it up a bit, the T is now straight, as opposed to angled, like before.I shrunk down the connection between the pressure line and the Tee.Further more I filled the bottom of the Tee, so the bb's don;t drop, but are level with the magpipe. This helps feeding a lot.
No more jams, just pure portable power and reliability!
I plan to make a cleaner version of it some day, using my brother's monster lathe.
Still on the lookout for a cheap airgun barrel.Although it might not need it, it rips up steel cans..
After I bought the 12 gram adapter and a question wich paintballgun I was gonna put it on I showed it to the guy at a paintballshop, and needless to say he was baffled..
It got a lot of attention from the customers there as well, so I promoted Spudfiles and even wrote the adress down for them.
One guy picked up the " Deathray" and started asking me questions. He shouldered it like a pro SWAT member and the only critique was about the shoulderstock ( he's right) but other than that is was more than okay.
This was in a paintball shop wich was stuffed with upgrade kits and parts, to put things in perspective...He loved the compactness of it, ideal for CQB, and comfortable to shoulder.
One guy said a 12 gram would run out really fast. After I explained him what this thing could do in 4 seconds ( first time he's ever heard of a bbmg) and that this was VERY unsuitable for gaming, he asked me what I use it for...
I said...it was just to be stored beside my bed.He said he would never want to get near my house
And...pictures!!

Imagine, all that power in this compact package! It can take out several targets, and then keeps going after a quick change of CO2 bulbs. Everyone is after portability when it comes to strafers....this is as good as it gets! **pads himself on the shoulder, and lights a sigar*** |

The greatest thing is...IT WORKS!
You can run a high powered strafer on a 12 gram!
It helps the look aswell...I started to hate that big bottle!
EDIT:
Oh...and the fluoresent tip was done in irony.
I had the spraycan for some time and I figured this was funny.
It makes it look more like a toy...and that is all it is not...

| hmmm maybe if you add an expansion chamber you could make it to fire for longer than 4 seconds... a lot of gas is wasted just becasue it 'spewing out liquid CO2'

It's not wasted...it is put to good use, propelling bb's.HARD!
And I wouldn't trade power to a longer firing time.
I just pop in a new 12 gram.
I have no complaints about gas concumption.I get a lot in return.
I bought two of these adapters, so I can use one on a future project..
Again a sawed-off shotgun, with a hammer valve actuated repeating piston valve, just better and...running off 12 grams!

no, if liquid CO2 is leaving your barrel it is being wasted.... what is more its temperature is low therefore pressure is lower than it could be...
you know I not an expert on CO2 but I think that I may be right...
maybe someone else will tell what he thinks about it ?

Who said it is spewing out the barrel?I think you misunderstood that part, because in that case you would have been right
It comes out the pressure washer liquid.Therefor more of it passes the bottle neck in the..well..bottleneck..Solving the flow restriction issue I feared I might get from using bulbs.
The main body of the gun aka bb reservoir IS an expansion tank in itself. There it will turn into gas
...and about the cold creating a loss in power..
It is more powerfull now, than with a 500 gram paintballbottle filled with 40 bar of air, wich has greater flow..so all in all, it has improved ( and quite noticably).
And don;t it look a whole lot better this way too?

I think it is just an improvement on an already awesome job. Very nice work, Brian.
As far as the CO2 issue, well, there really is no issue. About the only way you would be able to increase your fire time without sacrificing power would be to make the magazine smaller and I would guess you don't want that.
I guess your next upgrade would be to use a higher compressed gas to obtain even higher rates of fire?
