Aw no guts, no glory. At least if your hybrid explodes in your hands you'll probably be dead or uncoconcius so you won't feel a thing, till you wake up at the hospital if you survived. But yes, i would be paranod to if i had had one of my previos canons explode in my hands.
Anyways on a happier note, I find it clever noname that you used a soda bottle for the mixing tank, just seems so resourceful. |

I have 2 15' wires that I can attach to the BBQ ignitor. In a regular atmosphere, I can still get a 1/4" spark. Think it would be enough for a 1/16" spark in a 3x mix? |
Spark gap length is inversely proportional to atmospheric pressure. So, at 3x atm, your available spark gap would be 0.25/3 = 0.083, which is 1/12 of an inch. Yes, your 15' wires should work with a 1/16" gap.
Killjoy, didn't you have a PVC cannon filled with oxygen and hydrogen explode in your hands? |

| yeah, but i try to block bad things like that form my mind, which is probably why i don't learn from my mistakes (though i don't experiment with oxygen and hydrogen in cannons anymore, my subconcious must have somethign to do with that). |

YES!!! Remote ignition! I wasn't thinking about recoil the first time I shot it and the bastard blasted backward (tongue twister?) and nailed me in the stomach.
Reasons I used a soda bottle:
Cheap, it's $1.59, plus now I have 2 liters of RootBeer in water bottles. I would have used a piece of 4" PVC like DR's, but 4" Sch 40 PVC is only available to me in 20 foot lengths, and its $45 for one of those.
The bottle is clear, so I can tell how much more water will fill it before it actually gets in the ignition chamber.
According to Rmich, it should allow me to fill the cannon to a bit more than 3x, which would be my maximum anyways.
I'l probably think of more stuff later. For now I'll set up remote ignition and the new barrel (10' x 1.5") and get a few more pics, possibly one insde with everything laid out so I can describe what all the stuff is for. |

one works the other doesnt.
its all in the fueling method.
mine is a gen. 1 (doh!) it uses a meter like a combustion and is nearly impossible to get right. |
um??? maybe your metering is off, ive had 0 missfires using my JAUSH from 1x mixes to 7x mixes. And the chamber volume is tiny (requires more accurate metering).
Nice hybrid, I personally am not a fan of gen II's, but it looks like u've got a good gun and an awsome setup with ur tree there nice work! |
