Alright so i have my BBMG just about finished, it only needs a few more little tweaks, but i keep sprining leaks around my blow gun, its just on of those cheapy ony you use on air compressors.
I see alot of people with the same concept as me, the handle just sticks out of the tube, but theres never leaks like mine does, it might be because my bbmg is inside of an aluminum tube, not sure. but a wide majority of the gas shoots out around the glow gun.
the nozzle of the blowgun itself sticks into the vortex block, and it is a very tight fit, so i dont really understand how you guys avoid leaks. I also tried numerous epoxies to try to glue the handle into the block, but not one of them hold, they all break off eventually. If anybody had some tips or methods it would be great. thanks. |

| try threading it in. Unscrew the nozzle, should be a 1/8" NPT thread. Go out, buy a nipple in that size, and drill a hole in the chamber (forget the recommended size). Preferably tap it, if you don't have a tap, carefully screw the nipple in, then unscrew it, put some teflon tape on it, rescrew it in, and you should be good. |

| I already have a hole drilled i the chamber though, and the nozzle itself goes through it, so i doubt i would be able to tap a 1/8 npt thread into it lol |

yes pics are good.
Did you just ram the head of that blow gun into a hole?? Because that will never work without the use of a strong glue, and then small bumps will cause leaks again.
You need threads on something and then just smply self tap it into place like adem said. |

yeah i did just ram the head into the hole lol... but i found a nipple that worked and its solid and leak proof now.. a 1/4" NPT nipple fit both the hole i had drilled and the threads on the end of the blowgun, thanks alot JDP.
I just hope the aluminum doesnt give out, and strip.. I dont know what i would do then. Does anybody know a way to reinforce the handle so all the force isnt on the aluminum threads? |

| JB weld seems to be the answer for everything around here haha. Ive never used the real stuff just the crappy 1 hour cure, that stuff doesnt hold for crap. |

| What exactly is you propane rig just a can of propane screwed onto the blowgun, do you have an expansion chamber. |

the rig is actually on a remote line setup, just tip the can upside down and throw it in my pack, the line itself acts as an expansion chamber, and then goes into the handle. it delivers about 150 psi and all of it is not completely expanded out of liquid form. (I have a Gauge before my blowgun)
I have ordered another propane adapter online, and i will hook up a second tank that is empty to act as the expansion chamber, but for now, it is functional. |
