Well, sorry. I never saw Galfisk's hybrid.
Well, let me rephrase that. Fnord's the only one to stop speculating and designing a piston valved hybrid and just build one, on spudfiles. |

Blarg. Someone beat me to it.
I considered a piston design like the one galfisk made, but I saw two potential problems:
1. I have never built a piston valve before. screw-ups are likely.
2. If I ended up with a combustable mix in the pilot volume, I could be screwed if it ignited. I dont think the chamber would grenade, but I might get a rupture in the brass threads or at least ruin a piston.
With the simple piston I made there is no chance of this happening, at a cost of some preformance. |

what it you did use that design and had a pop relief valve on the actuator, you thing is simpler but with a pop relief valve in the actuator it would dump all the chamber presure
but you really didn't ever make a piston valve, but you made a hybrid |

I dont know if you realise it or not, but the simple mistake of saying "it" instead of "if" made that sentence extremely confusing
I didnt consider a pop-off valve at the time, but I'm sure it could be made to work fairly simply. |

| What happened to the RevoSEMI? Didn't it place in the top 3 in the last round? |

Revo-semi was excellent, and I would have happily voted for it as a second choice if that were an option.*
I had but one vote though, and I figured that GB semi was most deserving of it.
*No offense intended to Chaos - the S400 is a great design (even if it's not truly a "sniper"). The revo-semi was a little more innovative though IMHO. |

| Yeah, that was such a close race for second there should have been another round there. Even though the GB dominated, there were enough votes for either of the other two to have beaten it in another round. |

There's the "jack needs a good night out at a questionable exotic entertainment spot" fund, but I think I'd rather ask PCGUY to keep the winnings to be used towards the upkeep of this forum |

Down with the cheap sales pitches! They're all ignored in the long run anyway! |
