| This is pure genius as saladtosser said... how do u come up wit this stuff. also that is an absolutley amazing job with the animations. one question though. in the second to last picture, you show the barrel moving forward and back, what kind of mechanism would do this.... final thought... unfortunatley i think that there would just be to many moving parts and other items to debug to make it worth while... |

Forces for moving barrel:
-Blow Back Mechanism.
-Pnuematic cylinder.
-Your Hand!
To make a Auto anything it generally takes sevaral mechanisms. This design I see to be quite simple. I must congrat you on kicking a 9 month old topic, your question were good though.
EDIT:***POOF!***
Ya, I dont know what I was thinking. It was a immature joke, and not a insult. Im sorry if you took it as one, because after reading from a neutral stand point it sounds if so I intended it as a insult. Sorry .

| I just want to make sure I understand the pump action. The shell is pushed back with the barrel, fires, barrel moves forward and drops empty shell, on the way back a new shell moves up into the now empty space and repeats. If that's right its brilliant! Also, I tried to make the cartridge system, but sometimes the chamber side of the cartridge would fall first and it wouldn't fall out correctly. I could have probaly gotten it to work but I was just trying to make a prototype, if anyone gets any of the theories here to work (Except the valve concepts) I would like to see how they turned out. |
