im thinking about making a gnasher lever action shotgun off gears of war if u have no idea what it looks like just put the it into google images.

i have looked everywhere for any info on lever action guns including winchsters. but there are no good pictures of how they work.

so if anyone could help me it would be very nice of them.

Read this thread: http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/how-to-winchester-lever-action-reloade r-t3906.html

Easiest would be to search for "falling block".
Although those weapons used it as a single shot breech loader, it's a perfect way to turn a pneumatic into a lever action repeater.

The fallong block would be a block with a hole running through it at, located between the port of your valve and the start of your barrel. It sits between two plates and can slide down.
Underneath the barrel is another tube, feeding ammo when the block is fully slid down.

Just add a lever and you're there.
I'll look up my old thread were I build one.
I am now working on a new gun that will also be lever action, so if you are interested, look it up. ( 35 bar repeater thread)

Good luck Laughing

This looks like an amazing task to achieve but would look awesome when completed...

Have you considered just modifying another shotgun...it would be a lot easier and less time consuming.

how do you mean modding a shotgun??

im from the uk the only pump/lever/auto matic shotguns cost about 1000pounds and it is against the law to have more then two shots/shells in the mag and one in the breach lol

uk sucks if i walk round town with my longshot spud rifle i will get shot lol

Do a Google patents search on John M. Browning and Oliver Winchester.
You ain’t the only one workin’ on a lever-gun. Smile

Actually, Brian the Brain, that’s a Volcanic type lever action mechanism, falling block is what was used on the Sharps rifles and the Martini Henrys.

You know, I saw Gears of War the other day and somebody was using what looked like a Winchester M1887 “whip-it” gun (sawn-off, sawed-off, chopped and channeled, etc.),

I meant falling block, but with ammo hole.
I know it;s not exaclty the same.I've owned a falling block replica gun.

It went down to expose the breech.

I was not aware the vulcan used it like this. Then again, it used cartrigdeless ammo right?

Well anyway, Last time I made one was 1 and a half years ago.
When I was still using 1" ammo.
.50 and out of aluminium the block compartment will look so much nicer.

Wow, a quintuple post... That's got to be some sort of record Laughing

Using the edit button to add in afterthoughts is a good idea.

Just to let you know, if the muzzle energy of this replica is in excess of 12 joules, it's still considered a firearm, and just as illegal to own in the UK as a real firearm.

Edit by MrC: Sorry DYI, I deleted three of his five posts Wink

An what is to push the ammon through the elbow but keep it from all rolling out the barrel?

Seems it might only work by gravity when aiming up.

Be aware that your "CO2 input" should be large enough, connected to a valve and a precharged chamber behind if you want power.
