I think he means the volume of the elbows. Honestly, I can't remember if I gave it a fluid volume measurement or if I calculated an estimation. Either way works fine but fluid is more accurate. Propane doesn't have to be a perfect mix. It has to be close though.

No, he means the meter pipe. How do I know? I talked to him about it today.

He asked how you determined the size of the pipe between the 2 valves. How in the hell does that have anything to do with the volume of the elbows?

I think most people know the math/formula for calculating the meter pipe length, but most would prefer to enter known values into a calculator instead.
