No offense taken here. But now you have to worry about the Australians and New Zealanders.
And of course any other English speaking countries, but I think it's largely covered with the UK, US, Australia and NZ. |

| I'm not trying to be a dickhead, but did anyone else find pimpmann22's nine grammar/ punctuation errors in his initial post ironic? |

Not really, because he isn't trying to argue that you need to have perfect grammar. He's just saying that you need to make an effort to make your post readable. I am still amazed how many people come here and write whole paragraphs without any punctuation or capital letters.
He is trying to stop posts like this:
omg guys i jst maed my first supdgun adn it totelly rocks i shot at my nehbors but he caled the cops what a jurk once i acidently put to much harspray in it and it belw out al my windowes an my parants wer really mad and made me tak it appart ut imgonna build a biger one wihout telin thm and hid it under my bed |

lol clide. I could've sworn I actually read that once!
Now to contribute something to the topic: I know from a poll done a while ago that most members of this forum are under 18 (myself included). That means most of us are still in high school... and most of us still attend an English class. Now, rather than skate by with a D, why not pay attention while you still have the luxury of a free education? |

Just because you're too lazy to even use proper words, doesn't mean that "most people" are. And I don't know what kind of contortions one would have to go through to get a D in high school English courses. I suppose if you never learned to read you could do that badly, but seriously, I'm lazy as sin and never work, and get 80 - 90% in academic level (most difficult) English courses.
And as to being lazy, if you know the language well, you don't have to even try to use proper grammar. If you know the language well, it takes longer to r1ght liek tis than to use proper grammar and spelling in the first place.

I do not think anybody said anything about getting a D in highschool English. I do not think one would have to go through any contortions to get a D in it either, one would just have to not do the work. I also do not know where you are from but where I go to school, academic level is for the slackers and lazy people; AP is the most difficult (that is what I am in and i have a high B average). In fact, I am in AP DC (Dual Credit) which gives me college hours. So in effect, I am taking college freshman English as a Junior in Highschool.
and as for being lazy, i dnot tlak lkie tis... i type like this...could u understand it? haha thought so |

| In our school, academic courses are the hardest, and applied is for the lazy people. It's nice to see that you at least have some English skills, unlike many members of this forum. |
