HOLY COW!!!!
Is it safe to come out from under the table yet? I didn't mean to start a
street-brawl!
I/We have had the opportunity to see the multiple facets addressed by
'Shrimphead','Pimpmann', etc....We have other family members in public schools,too. Also, had a young man in the family become (diagnosed) Schiz-
ophrenic in his teens (highschool).Went from popular gentleman/nice-guy to
self-inflicted gun shot between the eyes out in the woods one day recently because he couldn't cope with it anymore.His peers turned on him like hungry wolves in mid-winter...never saw so many long faces at a funeral before.
LEARN ALL THE MATH you possibly can! This country has fallen drastically
behind the rest of the world academicly (?) . We have a shortage of scientists,professors,bio-engineers,etc. There is already movement toward full paid scholarships for students to go into these fields as well as others that
require you to really apply yourselves;the future of this once great country depends on the very generation of young people our school-system & (AND) certain liberal-oriented politicians are working so hard to brainwash
and dumb-down...soapbox,sorry.

In the end, nothing we do will matter. We work our whole live's at jobs that we hate...only to buy things that we do not need. Anything you do in your life won't count. Sure, it may be honored or remembered for a few years. Hell, it might go down in a history book for the later students to read about, but no one will give two shots of defication or a side dish of fornication.
I don't care if your a child genius, mentally disabled god, or superior buisness man. It won't matter. The world is on a steady decline as we speak, and governmental figure heads have thier hands in everyone's pocket but thier own.
I tried to steer away from the retard ordeal, and give us some good ole fashion morid feelings! |

O trust me if your willing to the invest the time, you can change a lot of stuff. Let me tell you a story of something that happened here locally...
A kid was assigned to do a presentation, so when he got home he asked his dad what he should do. His dad being a tree-hugger wackjob told him he should write about how more "awareness" is need over the endagered Desert Tortise. He writes something to the affect that building permits should be harder to obtain so these animals can be protected. 5 or so years later (present) these are all the things that have come of it.
-If a tortise is spotted on a construction site the construction will be halted and building permits will no longer be permitted to that location.
-Construction sites must sit for a few months before construction to see if any tortise may enter the location.
-If I recall right, if you kill one you will be fined $5,000.
-In response to this absurd action contractors fence off there sites with 1ft wide plastic fences fastned to wooden stakes.
-A small house site generally spends around $200 on these fences.
-A subdivision will spend qround $5,000 on these fences.
-Recently a road that was constructed threw tortise terriotry spent over a $20,000 on these fences. The road in which this fence is surronding doesnt have a strecth of straight road for more then 300yds and has several steep turns. This is due to the fact that they had to dodge many "restricted" areas in which tortise were sitted.
This just goes to show you can spend ~10 hours on a presentation, generate a 1ft wide plastic frenzy, and have yourself on top of every contractors hate list. |

(just a forward, I dont really like many aspects of language and grammar, but i too appreciate a general understanding of it.) my only response to this is M$ Word corrects capitals and typos, my handwriting is sloppy but pretty much mostly correct, and i dont think you guys really need to worry yourselves all that much about proofreading posts on a potato cannon forum  . I can see how you may get pissed off by ppl writing as few lttrs ina werd as posibul, but its easier to type without having to touch the shift key. I also find it funny that the more american you are, the less the english language makes sense. the only people in my ap engrish classes that truly understand english is the asians and the pakis

Holy sh*t you guys sure know how to kick up the conversation with me.
I agree with Bush on most issues, but disagree with him on such issues as illegal immigration, education, etc. At this time I would fear to see any of Democratic party in office ("any" is refering to all the democrats ive heard of). If one was in during/ after the 9/11 attacks the democrats would proably be paying them money to not proceed in future attacks (this of course is with are taxes).
Im glad that we went over there and kicked there ass, because they just messed with America. Any Democrat would still be in the UN sipping tea with the other officals. I generally favor Rebuplican officals because they actually get of there ass and do something, meanwhile Democrats just seemed to get jammed up in never ending talks that never result in anything.
It just bothers that me that Democrats go out and insult Rebuplicans for there discessions, and as I pointed out before, if the Democrat was stuck in the same situation they wouldnt do ANYTHING. Have you ever noticed all these news outlets ridculing Bush for his advancement on terroists, meanwhile cannot provide one way to go about it better? |

Yea, kicking thier ass was fine, but we're still there. It's been drug out too far, but I don't know if I would have went Awol and sent America's troops in full force and desimate everyhting. It's a army, not a nation police force. We never had these problems with Clinton, so what if he gave a fat girl some luvin'. Democrates may just sit around and drink tea, but at least it's not throwing humans in a blender.
When Bush hit office, this shite started up. And I don;t see hgow fighting fire with fire will may big results. They kills a few people and destroy some property. We kill more of thier people and mroe of thier property. Rinse, wash, repeat. Nothing get's solved, but blind war rallies give people the false sense of hope and "home-land security."
But, politics are like ass-holes. We all have one and it will never be pretty. |

Well this is a topic in which a mass majority of the online universe has. I think about it as a plain simple reason that is too common today; Laziness. Is it realy too hard for somebody to type out by the way and not do "btw". It also causes confusion. Lets say an older or even younger person comes to www.spudfiles.com and reads a post thats has the following:
Yo ppl I am thinking of making a hbd cannon. anyone have any suggestions?
btw im new at this lol so plz help.
If I was to read this I would rather have this:

Years ago, I was told by a Librarian that I used to work for (27 years in the Administrative Offices of the San Bernardino County Library system) that when you address a communication to someone and you use improper spelling, incorrect punctuation, and your syntax is wrong then it reflects upon your intelligence and schooling, or lack thereof, and also reflects back upon the person whom you wrote it for. To which I might add, STOP and read what you wrote first before you send it. You might find something typed wrong and be able to correct it before you sent it.
