I built this gun as a last attempt to outdo Brian. I dont think I have, And and waiting untill my AK47 replica is done. I call its heavy artillery because, um well its very heavy(full metal) and it probably take out a plane with the golfball barrel at 400 psi.

The ball valve is modded and i used a micro timer (measures very short amounts of time) of my friends and he said it opens in 28ms! WOW!! I left the accuator at my grandparents house so no pics of that yet. I am also goin to add a wooden suport. All in all this is a good gun!

Everything that's metal is good Razz
How are you actuating the ball valve? I've seen a few cannons actuated by either spring or a pneumatic cylinder. It won't measure up to a piston valve, but it's easier to build with limited materials/tools.
Are you running thet gun at 400 psi? I'd be a bit concerned about the PVC parts at that pressure (what's with the PVC anyway?)

I use a spring to open the valve. The pvc is an addapter for the barrel. I have only once taken it past 250 psi.

Be carefull with that, the whole pressure comes out in the PVC part, even for am very short of time (some mms's) Could explode is the ammo got stuck in the barrel.

BTW, I was wondering how you hope to outdo Brain with a balvalve Laughing

Anyway, at 250 psi, this seems a pretty powerfull gun. I would change the PVC-part for a metal one though, just to be sure.

What kind of ammo do you use ?

Well the dominator is out of the contest.I withdrew it.
Just to avoid controversy about it not being a new gun ( just the sawed-off with a CO2 set-up attached)

For that same reason I hesitate to enter Hard Copy, although that now has a 16mm I.D. 60 cm long barrel, different excaust valve, reloading capability and a silencer in the works.
If y'all say it can be considered a new gun, I'll enter it.
It does have more new features than old I guess.
Just the vallve housing and the chamber are the same.
Whatever...
I always hate discussions about something other than the topic, so...

Gorrillah, I'm sorry, but a ballvalve will never do as your main valve if you are trying to win the contest.I'd say back to the drawing board...
You have the materials and powersource to make a very, very powerfull cannon.
You have stated before you can make piston valves, so why this??

Brian, I chose a modded ball valve for this gun because I didnt want to make it too complicated. I allready had most of the parts (one of the chambers is from my MMG, It stopped working Evil or Very Mad ) I also planned this gun to be a massive piston valved gun with a golf ball barrel. I will do this soon but it's as is for the moment. I will NOT Be entering this thing in the contest. It is absolutley not my best work. The piston valve will be ready by next week, and I will have pics this time!!

I love all metal guns. Nearly all of my guns have been all metal. You should paint it black.
