Ill be the 15th person to echo this, but yes tippmanns are very good guns. It had so much of affect that it actually influenced part of my UN, hence the double "n" in "mann". I dont think they really out do any guns in shooting performance, but tippmanns are tanks compared to other guns. They also tend to be heavier. Ive had mine for 5-6 years, before this wave of people decided to buy it.

Ive only had 3 balls break, and only replaced one part, the ball stopper rubber peice. This was proably due to the fact that me and a buddy decided to shoot marbles at the stop sign. Its survived 3 battles of the "H". (The battle of the "H" (H stands for Hurricane) is when the Seniors of the school defend the "H" made on the hill by painted white rocks. It starts Friday evening and goes till sunday) This battle of the "H" thing is brutal. Last year 3 people got arrested, one of which hit a Junior in the head with a baseball bat.

This just goes to prove how good of guns they are. Im not one of those people that deck my gun out though. I only have a few 20's, 18" Sniper, 14", and the standard 8" barrels. O ya I forgot, I upgraded the hopper with some electrical tape because the pressure supposed to propel the paintball, escapes back up into hopper and pops the lid. Twice of which caused me to dump all my paintballs into a crack in the lava rocks.

Ive only played courses a few times, but we usally play in river bottoms, sand dunes, in the red rocks, and in lava rocks. (damn I typed alot...)

pimpmann----wtf! how the hell does someone get hit with a baseball bat a a paintball game!? and about the lava rocks ,where do you live hawiie(sp?) ?and why do you have more than one after market barrle? they all shoot the same range. ( all paintballs leave the barrle at 300 fps)

wow 300fps!?! Isnt that dangerous? i shoot at 275 I guess its not a big difference but it sound like alot. Usually the longer the barrel the more accurate its going to be, but if it gets to long it will slow the ball down.

lol, a longer barrel adds SOME distance, and accuracy, but after 16' its pointless. and if you have a barrel with holes at the tip or in the body, it decreases the fps because it loses pressure in the barrel where the first hole is, so it has to use its momentum to get out of the barrel. a flat line barrel adds lots of distance, because its not straight, it has a curve in the barrel, it gives the ball a backspin, which lets it kinda "float" in the air, but with the spin, moderate wind influences the ball to travel, but i never had it bad. it does add around 100ft. ill take some pics and post my gun later

SS2: Have you ever even played with that gun? lol. Either that or you play paintball in a foam house. My gun has scratchs ever where (which a big thanks can go out to the lava rocks and tamaracks).

AB: Not to be a dick or anything, but are you really that good that you need all these accesories? I dont know, I just have a personal vendetta against people and there A-5's. The two type of owners are old people and young rich prick kids. Then after each game you see them refilling ALL there contaniers (proably a thousand balls). They just shot on auto the whole game, seriously ive had people with A-5's try to shoot me from like 300ft away.

The flatline is good in the sense it keeps the balls straight. But what you can do is hide behinde thick brushes/ rocks and they really have a hard time hitting you. With reg guns you can be in the same scenario, and you can use the "hooking" of the balls to your advantage. Your luck sucks if you cant get at least 1 ball out of 4 to hook down. The flatline is proably a lot better for playing in the woods, since your obstacles are vertical instead of horizontal. The only time ive seen a flatline have a advantage is when people would hide under tamaracks (if you dont know what these are, google) and the kid was hitting the alot. Now that I think about it he was using high grade while I was using low grade. (*Duh* No wonder why my balls where always breaking on the branches.)

Im done ranting on the A-5 and the flatline now...

I just got it pimp and that was right out of the box 2 weeks ago. I have played with it 3 times and i dont baby it but i dont "want" it to have scratches. Its a little more delacate than a tippmann cause theres more moving parts and all.
