i just made a how to but i cant get the pics on the form it just dousn't want the pics. how do i get the pic on it?  |

| well i should add i typed it up on word and tried to cut and past is on the form withe the pics high lighted and the pics didnt comeup. |

What do you mean you highlighted the images??? To get images on you need to host them. Which can be done bu "attaching" it to your post. Down side to this they will all appear at the bottom inside some ugly boxes. The way to get around this is get the image URL and put it into < img src="" > where ever you want the picture to appear.
Again, please use the DAMN shift key... |

i typed it up on word along with the pics where i wanted them and high lighted all the typings with the pics highlighted aswhel and copyed and pasted on the post a How-to now topic form and just the words and letters came up not the pics.
NOTE FROM PIMPMANN22: Did you even read my last post? Please use the shift key! ABout the pic's you need to first host them before posting them, then use the coding I stated above.

This would be the first time i posted pictures and u am not shure how to host. And i put the URL between the parenthisys(sp) right. and i one of the pics has a file name of IMG00036.JPG i think this is the URL. and how do i change the format to .GIF. (P.S.Sorry if i am being a pest and a head ache abou this. And wgy di i need to capitalize? once again sorry)

Wow, just slow down and type things out slower, that barely made any sense.
Then to get the URL of a picture, right click> properties then under location that is the URL of the picture. For example the URL of your avatar is http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/images/avatars/78759357543d80b3c15320. jpg If you want to change the format of your picture open it in paint, resave it as .gif, re-host (if you dont know how to do this click on the FAQ link and then select attachment).
In responce to your question "And wgy di i need to capitalize?" which in its self is poorly formatted. It is reccomend that you capitalize, because it is much easier to read. Plus not capatalizing can give the false intereptation that your not smart. This is why anything proffesional is written with capatial letters, also youve been tought to do it since fetchin' kindergarten (sp?). Although capatializing doesnt change the content of your post it defintly gives character to what type of person you are, seeing as the only way you can express your self on the internet is through text. I would say "respect" tops the list of why you should do it. If you come on here asking a question I dont feel as inclined to help you because you dont even show enough respect to use proper english or even attempt to. I have to squint and find the end of your sentaces via a period and I have to play scramble with all your words because you didnt take the time to spell them right. |

Thank you for clearing that up. But I see no point in capitalizing if this is just a site where one can exit the world of frustration and work to talk to other people about spud gunning and share ideas and there projects finished. Capitalizing dosn't seen like it would give character to what type of person I am. I don't give a dam if I dont use the captalizing key. Don't think that capitalizing will show you one who I am. spelling not entierly(sp) characterises me, I am a fast typer with that dosn't look back at his typing unless it is a paper of importance. (P.S. I capitalized to amuse you pimpmann) i just went to the FAQs page and clicked how do i use attachments? question and it brought(sp) me to the forms page no how to's.why is this?

pimpmann I dunno why your telling him to get the source of the images when all you have to do is how Browse and select the file on your computer and hit Upload. The uploader works fine and an offsite host is just asking for trouble. When I get hosts changed all cannon images will be on the uploader becuase offsite hosting doesn't stay around and pages go courrupt. |

EDIT: Capitilization shows that you actually care about what you are typing, not just throwing things around. Also it makes things much more legible, and divides your posts into different sections and allows the brain to process it easier (at least for me).
I see no reason for that last post and how it relates to capitalization or posting pictures but its lounger. |
