These are easy to make darts that take five minutes, no tools, and regular household materials.
Materials:
Nails (1 1/2" to 2" is optimal)
1/8" string or yarn
1/2" wide tape
These are easy to shoot with a 1/2" Sch 40 blowgun or just barrels on cannons. They are a perfect fit, are stable, have great penetration, and take about a minute each to make.
Don't shoot people.

thats sort of like one of the darts i made, i never got the pics to work and dont have any of the pics or the darts anmore but heres what it is: http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5110& theres also a link to another dart ive made on it wich is usually the kind i make they're really good
your idea looks pretty cool too, i think ill try making one of those myself
EDIT: spudthug most darts will work in small cannons unless there really weak but his look pretty strong so i would say that his design would work great in cannon

| Just bump up the sizes for bigger bores, and yes, they'll be fine in cannons. I might make a couple for 1 1/2" barrels or some such size.

i have a good design, they are really strong, and have great penetration. if you have a big enough cone you could make them all the way up to 2". ill create a how-to in a bit
Edit: i sound like a lil bit of a prick

I prefer paper towels for feathers, I just cut a square, and stab the nail though
I can shoot them into plywood with a .5" ball valve gun at low presure
edit ooh I didint realize that you shot the box using the pipe as a blowgun, thats pretty good
