Plans, you don’t need no stinkin’ plans.
It’s not rocket surgery, you just make a combustion out of SCH80 or higher PVC, steel, etc. and pressurize it. If you can’t figure it out then for you own safety do not make one. Getting frag in the face is not fun… |

| It may not be rocket surgery, but it's real easy to mess up. rl93, how much expirence do you have with potato cannons? |

| If you need any plans to make anything other than your first spudgun, hybrids are not for you. |

| Hybrids are over rated. There definatley not as powerfull as everyone sais. Just make a big pneumatic, And it should be even better than a hybrid. |

Ok when asking for hybrid plans, your simply going to be told off. Something along the lines of, if your not so intelligent as to devise, and understand the plans, you should not be constructing, and operating such a gun. Simply your not going to get any results.
Although I will suggest that you take a stroll on over to the Spud Wiki, and look up the article on hybrids. This will help you to better understand the concept of hybrids, from which point you may be able to devise your own plans. Good luck! |

Well by no means are we advocating such procedures to possibly lead to your future injury/ death. Just to discourage the building with out knowledge of its workings.
Write up some plans, and any questions that may present them selfs in your quest to construct a hybrid. As long as were not starting from square #1, Id be more then happy to help you. |

"A hybrid is the most dangerous launcher that can be built. It is advised to build with pipe that can handle the high pressure environment (200+ PSI) such as Sch. 80 PVC or metal." ~Spud Wiki
Something tells me you didn't read the article...
One does not need a chamber fan in a hybrid launcher. |

Ill probly go with metal.
And i did read the article but its like two in the mourning and im tired.
i guess i shouldnt be planning somthing that could kill me when it took me like five tries to spell the word article right.
How does the spark work if you use metal? Wouldnt the electricity just do through the whole gun.
What is the best c:b ratio? Id like to break the sound barrier. |

| so i went into kellar today and they DIDN'T HAVE ALL THE STINKIN PARTS for my hybrid... and they only sell the pipe in 20'lengths. so im not sure what im going to do. i though i would buy the fittings of mcmaster but the guy at the store said that sch80pvc pipe can vary with different companies. and i dont want to go buy a bunch of fittings off mcmaster if the fittings they sell dosnt fit perfectly with the pipe i buy from kellar. im thinking metal is beter. the only problem that i can see with metal is the pipe size reduceing part. do they make threaded 4"-2" metal bell reducers? and is tapping metal pipes any different from plastic? other than there being less resistance with plastic. |

| All companys pipe and fittings should fit together. I don't know about tapping metal pipe. The walls are thinner than PVC. |
