B2B, there's a guy at my club who has a Dragon Slayer, tremendous thing to fire - even just holding on of those 50 calibre slugs in your hand is enough to get you going I was pondering going big bore but the fact that the Monsoon is semi-auto sold me, maybe next year

I used to love commercial airguns, until I made my first shotgun.
No commercial airgun will knock a piece of plywood out of your hand and leave a 1"hole in it at the same time...
I hear good things about LOGUN airguns.They come with working suppressors..

You'd better have your SCUBA tank handy - the Dragon Slayer doesn't get much more than 5 useful shots per charge. If you want a multishot, then a hammer valve is a good idea - but for sheer power, it pales in comparison to piston valves.
If I had 3000 psi on tap (which I do ) and the materials that could withstand it (which I don't ) I'd prefer to make a coaxial that would drive that 225 grain slug almost twice as fast as the Dragon Slayer does, making the need for any other follow up shots superfluous.

I agree that nothing beats the destructive power of a large bore spudgun, but I also like my long range accuracy, as well as the pride of ownership of being able to fondle a piece of finely engineered craftsmanship and rub it lovingly with an oily cloth

Loguns are mostly rebadged models of other rifles and generally thought to be overpriced, though I do like their S16, in fact i was going to get the 35 ft/lb XS version before I saw the Monsoon was available. Their silencers are highly regarded, especially the new Logun QGS,

I have always wondered if I could turn it into a 9mm.That would render the reloading mechanism useless, but I wouldn;t care.
The problem is, I can't even get the slide off to take a look inside!!

To own the Monsoon in the UK you would first of all need a FireArm Certificate, because 30 ft/lbs is well over the 12 ft/lbs limit - but even if you had this, as far as I know semi-auto air rifles (excluding the lower powered CO2 ones like the Crosman Nightsalker cannot be imported because of home office law that states that the only 22LR rimfire rifles can be owned in semi-auto.

I doubt it - the thing with the Anics is that the barrel itself is the hammer that knocks the valve open, so it would involve quite a lot of re-engineering, especially the mag feed.

yeah its just a bit over i wonder why only 22lr semi-auto rimfires can be imported and not semi-auto air rifles? wouldn't a 22 be more powerful?

THe Drulov Rada is a 9 mm CO2 pistol firing 12 shots per 12 granm capsule.So...using that technology...
Why hasn't anybody made a 9 mm CO2 revolver??

It's a quirk in home office law. The legislation allows semi-auto smoothbores like shotguns, paintball markers etc, but when it comes to rifled firearms (and any air rifle over 12 ft/lbs is a firearm in the eyes of UK law) only 0.22LR is legal. Such a rifle would be 3 times more powerful than the FX, but there you go the law's an ass.

How about a six-shot pneumatic revolver in 0.22" doing over 900 fps?
Well, wonder if someone here could possibly duplicate one of these guns, if you dont have it and cant buy it, why not try to make it . Only if we all had the materials and tools . I would feel pretty satisfied if i made a airgun similar to a Mongoose FX or a Evianix AR6 . But you are getting one hell of a air rifle there . Where do you live, in the U.S.? Did you need a license for a air rifle even though it is semi auto?
