I was wondering how an electric dog collar shocks the dog? Does it produce an open spark like a stun gun? If it does, you could just put it in your spudgun chamber and use a remote trigger(i think most electric collars have a remote) to have remote ignition. This would work well in hybrids if you want to be a long ways away. Does anyone think this would work? Another advantage is only having one ignition for multiple guns. You could just put the collar into another chamber. Is this a plausible ignition system?

shock collars don't create a spark gap, their are not nearly as strong as stunguns, heck using a real stun gun on your dog would be abusive.

you might be able to create a spark gap, but it would be better to adapt a remote switch to a stun gun, but good idea

But a remote switch is dangerous. Any wirless signal (old cordless phone or a remote control car) could cause it to go off at any time. Wouldn't try it.

Those things are real low voltage not enough for a significant spark you could get far more better ignition sources for cheaper and better sparks.

Not true. Well, I guess you COULD set up a wireless remote system that could be triggered by anything. But it's not hard to make it safe. I have a wireless remote ignition that uses a car door key-remote circuit. The remote emits a secure cycling code, and you have to specifically train the receiving circuit for the code the transmitter emits. Besides, it's easy to wire up a safety. My gun has four switches, counting the wireless remote. One controls whether there's any power to the stungun circuit at all (and lights the big red 'armed' lamp). Another toggles between manual ignition and remote ignition. Then there's the manual trigger on the handle, and the remote wireless trigger.
