I'm thinking of building an inline vortex gun. One thing I'm struggling with though is how the ammo is fed reliably into the chamber. I've considered a loading ramp, but that'll cut down the amount of ammo I can carry. Is there another way to do it? Possibly some kind of spring driven pusher? Although I'm not quite sure how that would work. Anyone tried it?

From the same guy who brought you the feed ramp: air-pushed piston BBMG.

yes definitely, I am working on an inline right now that has a feed ramp, but soon will have a plunger. It's really basic, pretty much like your calk gun plunger, only it continously (but gradually) goes forward. Do you get what I mean?? Instead of pushing a trigger to advance the plunger, it always advances whenever there is room to advance.

Yeah I completely understand that. My brain just missed out the empty space behind the plunger you need to accommodate the shaft it sits on.

Usually I'd use a threaded end cap and unscrew it each time to reload. But that strafer uses a QR fitting of some kind if I'm correct. I think I've seen those before. But I have no idea where to get hold of them :p

They're cam lock fittings, search for them on Google. They're made by Banjo. If you aren't going to make any special feed system for it, you could have a ball valve on the back, which would reload faster than any other strafer.

I have just recently made a inline vorte gun, and what i have done, is gotten a wash that fitted perfectly in my bb chamber, got a spring from a garden sprnkler, glued it on to the washer, and then to the 2" cap, as my bb chmaber was made out of 2". and viola, you have a plunger system.

Ha. Too bad my parents wont let me build BBMG's. they say theyre too dangerous......... but of course they let me build cannons that can put holes in sheet metal.......... kinda dumb but w/e i guess i can kinda see their point. full auto gets a little too much fun........ if ya kno what i mean. anyway, it would be the CAUK GUN!!!!!! AHAHAHAHA. and you could shoot it outta 2 inch PVC too.............. when you got bored with it. ill try to convince my parents to let me make a .177 cal BBMG. i want to try this now. (wow i have ALOT of projects right now.....) by the way, whats the ID of most .177 cal BB barrels? the only thing i have fits them VERY loosely.

Hey VH man, neither do my parents, but I'm managing to pull off a small "underground" business. Laughing I just ell 'em that the blocks are "special parts that people want me to make for them." Not a lie, and they don't usually question me further. Very Happy
