but don't ever ever ever ever ever even consider pressures greater than 90 psi for pvc. NSF sch40 PVC is rated for 140psi

pressure rated pvc can withhold much greater pressures than 90 PSI! you are thinking about non pressure rated pvc. oh well.

I do NOT suggest you put CO2 into pvc, as it cools it drastically, causing it to become brittle over time. i would suggest copper pipe, or any other pressure rated metal for that matter.btw, this is an old thread, so you should probably just create a new one to discuss your problems

I have just started making pneumatic potato guns. what kind of valve is used in this gun. i see it everywhere in pic's but cant find it on the internet. i have used in line sprinkler valves but u have to wire it and it gets obnoxious.

It uses a sprinkler valve with a blowgun attached to it. It makes it actuate faster. But sometimes it is better to keep the solenoid, like if you want to have remote firing or your design requires a slower opening valve.

one thing that would help with it that is you can get a co2 regulator at LOWES and then you can have a 9oz tank or 12 or 20 oz tank on it and get many mnay shots at a regulated PSI of 120 or below! thats what i use on my paintball grenade/rocket launchers! here is a link to the regulator!

http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=166441-6 1735-J-6901-100&lpage=none

I recommend you get it ! it comes with a filled 9 oz tank!
