I just plan on making it ridable for now. I plan on enlisting so I won't have time to put much more into it, but when I come back I plan on making my own tank and other parts. I also don't have the required tools yet, and there's no sense in having them sit there for 4 years rusting away from parents misstorage

Just a few updates on how its coming

My failed attempt to hook up the throttle, but I think i have a way to get it hooked up

Got the Clutch perfectly set up

And this is the whole reason why it's not ridable yet.

Nice work so far, I wouldn't mind riding one of these. I mean, I love putting my knees behind my ears. Looks like a lot of fun.

I better get my bike running again too, it's only been sitting for 5 years without oil, and by some black majiks it's not seized. Just needs some work on the electrics, the battery's sulphated to buggery and I don't know why it won't spark when it's hooked up to a big 6 volt.

Any news?

By the way..I decided to chop the pitbike that has been gathering dust..

I'll be welding up the hardtail and stretching the enginemounts tomorrow.
Lowering it this much makes the engine tip up...

Finally my son can fit on the bike and handle it.
He insisted on being photographed this way..

I don't know where he gets it,,,honestly.. Very Happy

Brian that looks very nice. I've made no progress whatsoever. All that's left is the $12 sprocket but I'm broke after using my last few $ on the cannon. After I cleanup. A little in my garage I can get back of task

I hope you don;t mind me posting my progress in your topic, but since we're both kinda doing the same thing I figured it would be best.
I see no reason to steer attention away from your build either.
Let me know if it bothers you and I'll start my own thread..

I haven't done the enginemounts yet by so far I have completely welded and braced the hardtail.
I have also cut off all unwanted brackets and stuff and I welded on the hinge for the soloseat.

It will be floating on the original monoshock that I will mount discretely tucked away near the bottom of the backbone.
I already turned down the factory preload on it to minimal and I plan to install it very close to the seat hinge for a very comfortable ride.

For now I can share yesterday's pictures right after tacking it together and a mock up-picture to see what it should look like.
Welds are all done and rock solid now.
Too bad my son doesn't like apehangers and metalflake..
He wants everything toned down and flat black..

Of course Brian the Brian. It looks amazing. I wish I had my mig or tight setup so I could do welding on mine. Flat black will look good with it.

I feel its about time to continue on this project of mine, got that habit of starting something and getting side traced for a few months. Should have the sprocket in the next few days. Then I gotta think of a paint job
