MINI DEVIL
A couple of days agos i was surfing the forums when i came across the mini pill bottle gun. After looking at it I decided to make one and in the process i converted some of my freinds to make one and is a fast growing trend where i live (I think). First though i had to find a pill bottle so i looked through our medicine cabinet and found a bottle that only had a couple of pills left in it. Then i dumped them out then started constucting my gun which consists of a pill bottle, pen tube, and a lighter sparker. After looking for some type of fuel i decided to use my Axe body spray. Then i click the sparker and BOOM for its size it is really powerful. Even though mine didnt shoot far it was really cool. All spud gunners should build one. Make one today

| When they switched it over to offical cannon they took out the part where it talked about shooting my self in the stomach cause my gun exploded. That was the mistake. |

| Well what part exploded? It should hold up if you did it right, shouldnt it? The one that I just built is drying. I hope that the plastic will hold up. Its the thickness of a peanut butter can. If it doesnt, ill switch the pastic can to 2" pvc. My barrel is perfect for bb's, muhahaha, and its metal |

Well the actual chamber didnt blow up just the cap on the back blew off. Other thing you might find fuuny or different is that i didnt glue any part of my gun at all. For the barrel i just found a drill bit that was really close to the pen tubes size so its just held in by a little lip on the pen and the tight fit of the pen. I think the lids are strong enough but all the pressure from the explosion dosent have a big enough hole to go through so i blew the back cap off. Make sense? I wouldnt have any concern about these being to dangerous though even if everything goes wrong there not powerful enough to do anything.(I think  ) |

| Yeah I shot mine off today, I had the same problem. THe cap popped off. I put it in a towel when I shot it, so nothing got broke. Hmmm, not sure how to solve this problem. My barrel is way to small for what I built using a peanut butter jar. I have a 3/4 PVC, I might try that |

| I think to have the cap stay on you would need some bottle or jar that had alot of threads. I dont know any bottles or jars with alot of threads though but if you could i dont think we would have the problem any more. Another thing i will do if i ever build another spud gun is make it out of pipe and make the chamber not as fat but more skinny so that all the power from explosion can be more focused toward the barrel. |

| Or if you want to make it small and want it to work. Use 2" PVC for the chamber and 3/4" PVC for the barrel... |

| You should make it! Then post it i dont think anyone has ever made a mini potato gun out of real pipe before (you would be the first). But i would make the chamber bigger or the barrel smaller because if you use a 2 inch chamber and a 3/4 inch barrel i dont think it would shot that far. I would make a paint ball barrel (1/2 inch pipe) and a 2 inch chamber i think that would work good. It would be pretty cool. Do it. |

| I read some where that there is a certain type of 1/2 pipe that fit paintballs perfectly. Im not sure though. The same thing i thought about my golf ball cannon. The golf ball is bigger then 1 1/2 inches but the pipe is also so it works perefectly. I dont know why they say pipes are one size but there really another size. |

for golfballs you get 1.5 inch sdr 21. Which has the same od has 1.5 but has thinner walls. For .68 paintballs you get 3/4" schedule 120 pvc.
BUT i used to make those mini's out of EVERYTHING, that had a lid on it. I made at least 2 a day. Because i had a BBQ sparker and was just playing around.
TO get the barrel to stay in i put a needle through the bottome of the pen cut off the tip and ball of it, and slid it thourgh the back, of the chamber, through the hole i drilled.
BUt i never had any problem with the cap shooting off. The orange clear pill bottle work very well and it is cool because it is like having a clear chamber.
I think you might get better performance pimpman if you add another pen onto the barrel, by taping it or gluing it or something, Think about the ratio of your cannon, its probably like 5:1 lol.
On your idea about making the chamber skinnier to concentrate the flame, won't work, becuase the flame starting in the back will have to make its way all the way to the front of the chamber lossing pressure and power.
Here is a mini i made out of a 2 inch T fitting with a .5 inch barrel, so i can shoot battieries. IT IS LOUD with a burst disk, with starting fluid, I have a schrader valve in its endcap so i can pump fresh air into the chamber so i don't have to take the endcap off each time i want to vent the chamber or try to get the fuel mix right.

I flipped a 2 inch plug upside down, sanded the stop off and glued it in upsided down to conseal the sparker. |
