This is my mini pneumatic. It uses a blowgun as a valve with 1/8" brass pipe as the barrel. The chamber is 1 1/4 inch with two endcaps making up the entire length, I just cut enough pipe to join the two. I built this because my dad claims that my butane mini is a fire hazard.

First shots this morning!
When I was using airsoft pellets they came out of the barrel at angles and hit various objects around the room, but Q-tip and foil darts fly accurately long distances.

Edit: I have now attached a longer, clear barrel to it. More speed, accuracy, and range of things to shoot. It fits thumbtacks well and can stick them into a door from about seven feet away, farther than that it begins to tumble and bounce back at me with considerable force.

dont double post, use the edit button.

now that thats over with, the gun looks pretty nice for a small gun, but i think that the barrel is so skinny compared to the chamber that it is severely constricting airflow. other than that, great job!

The blowgun has far worse flow than the barrel. If you're shooting small projectiles, you can't very well have a huge amount of flow if you want then to fit in the barrel nicely.
It would be far more practical to make a piston gun of the same size. Then it would be faster flow.

In my idea going through the trouble to make a piston gun just to shoot q-tips and paper wads in my basement isn't really that practical. But I will be making a paintball piston gun eventually, I'll post it.
