does anyone know how to build a mini rail gun? i need pics and parts lists. this is for a project so i need some info asap.

btw google didnt have anything so dont tell me i cant be bothered to utfse

Umm there is such things as rail guns if by rail guns u mean linear accelerators(spelling?) try this site they have alot of info www.powerlabs.com and talk 2 me on msn i have got plans for very small ones using a disposable camera flash but it doesnt have very much power at all.

well i got plans for a micro railgun, here . so it fires tinfoil and its not that powerful but its still a railgun none the less. the railgun he made used camera flash capacitors, if you feel like making it more powerful head over to digikey get some like 350v 1000uf caps for like $10 ea. course then you need a charging circuit (cuase they will overload the cameraflash) pm me bout that.

p.s. - when you search "micro railgun" on google this is the first thing that comes up

There isn't really any relative size concerning railguns, there aren't really enough to warrant size designations. Mini could be anywhere from 1 inch to 3 feet, while big could be 2 feet to 50 ft.

This one is relatively small, and it uses everybody's favorite material in it.

Now I know it's a bit late but have any of you tried www.railgun.org I don't know if you could call it a mini, but it's a railgun and it's homemade.
