So I modded myself a 1 inch Watermaster valve and whenever I pressurize and fire it makes the honking sound described by people who are using unmodded valves. I even lubed the diaphragm and it still honkes

Help is always appreciated.

I don't know the Watermaster products, do they have a guide rod and/or flow control?

Peace,
Pete Zaria.

No, its just the diaphragm and the spring. And yes, there is no debris in the phragm' and all the seals are Teflon taped.

Is the blow gun connected straight to the valve or is there a hose in between?Because that hinders performance.
